First opening in the new Trave Quartier in Lübeck
L’Osteria opens its doors with a glittering party
On 16 January, L’Osteria, the new anchor tenant on the ground floor of our Trave Quartier development, held its opening party with 350 invited guests. We developed the Trave Quartier on behalf of our client, the Danish SNG Group, on the site of the former Holstentorpassage, which was standing empty. In terms of Lübeck’s main landmark – the Holstentor – the location couldn’t be more prominent. As the first major milestone of the newly designed Trave Quartier, the gastronomic concept by Dirk Block was launched with a successful event in the presence of well-known Lübeck personalities from the world of politics and business.
Shortly beforehand, on 19 December 2013, ‘Das Café’ was opened, which serves handmade cakes along with coffee specialities. Just like its immediate neighbour, L’Osteria, ‘Das Café’ will also have a south-west-facing outside terrace with a view of the River Trave and the Holstentor once work is completed on the considerably enlarged forecourt, which is set to perfectly complement the high-quality establishments.
Further construction phases include creating four apartments in the best area of the old quarter, with a view of the Trave and a new layout for the Block House on the first floor of the building. This will also lead to the opening of additional retail outlets. The building complex situated on neighbouring Braunstrasse is due to be completed in summer 2014 with the creation of nine residential apartments. Only a few apartments are still available and we expect them all to be sold before completion.
We will provide updates on further development stages of our Trave Quartier here shortly.
